Course program
Epidemiology: definition, areas of application, relations between clinical medicine and epidemiology. Application areas, traditional epidemiology and new areas of application (5 hours)
Frequency measures. Prevalence and incidence. Descriptive epidemiology: objectives and fields of application, methodology (6 hours)
Analytical epidemiology: analytical studies, cohort studies. Experimental studies: phases (7 hours)
Main concepts on Evidence Based Medicine (2 hours)
Prerequisites
To successfully follow the course it is useful for the student to have knowledge on basic concepts of statistics

Lessons take place in the classroom through frontal teaching activities or in blended mode (teacher in the classroom with students partly present in the classroom and partly telematic) or telematic. The choice is determined to the indications dictated in accordance with the provisions of current legislation.
Frequency
Attendance to the lesson is recorded by signing on a specific form
Exam mode
The oral exam includes one question for each module of the course. The grade results from the arithmetic mean of the grades of the individual modules.
