Immunometry principles and use of antibodies. Antigen-antibody reaction. Antigen purification: affinity chromatography
Main techniques involving the use of antibodies useful in laboratory diagnosis such as: immunofluorescence and immunoblotting, ELISA.
Erythrocyte typing techniques: determination of the AB0 phenotype
HLA typing techniques: Cytotoxicity test and mixed leukocyte reaction
Diagnostic techniques for autoimmune diseases
Prerequisites
To tackle the laboratory techniques course the student must have the basics of Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry
