Course program
The course will describe three main topics: the first two concern Perception and Attention, with reference to the perceptual and attentive attitudes of people who work in the field of anatomopathology.
The third topic will concern the study of human thinking, with special reference to the cognitive “bias” which influence our daily decision making. Those biases have been shown to concern mainly those situations in which probability has to be estimated. This topic is relevant for those who, working in a clinical context, have to evaluate the probability that a particular outcome at some particular test, would actually indicate the presence of a disease.
