Course program
Main risk factors in healthcare settings (physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, psychosocial). Personal protective equipment (PPE): types, correct use, and limitations. Environmental hygiene and sanitation. Infectious risk: standard measures and additional precautions. Occupational safety legislation (Italian Legislative Decree 81/08). The nurse’s role in promoting safety.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of healthcare environments and general prevention regulations. Observation and interpretation skills in operational settings are required.

Written exam, including: Multiple-choice and short open-ended questions on risk, prevention, and safety. Analysis of short practical scenarios with proposed solutions.
