Course objectives

At the end of the course the student, after having acquired an adequate terminology, must: know the object and methods of legal medicine and social medicine. Regulatory sources. The health profession and the professional act. Bonds and responsibilities. Liability. Professional secrecy, data confidentiality and information technology. State, government, norm and legal system. Health protection system in Italy. The AASSLL. Evolution of the nursing profession and quality concepts. Organizational structure of the nursing service: role and function of the different levels, organizational and labor analysis modalities, personnel management. Know the basics of ethics, bioethics and professional deontology. Know and analyze the rights of the person. Promote personal reflection on the principles of natural law. Being aware of the ethical responsibilities and problems of the nursing profession. Address some of the ethical and moral dilemmas

Course program
At the end of the course the student should be able to: - Describe the basics of health law and legislative developments, ethics, and professional ethics of the nursing profession and the health professions - Highlight the main steps in recent years that have allowed the expansion of responsibilities and have placed the nurse at the center of the care pathway - Discuss the importance of knowing their professional responsibilities and the use of operational tools relevant to protect the professional and ensuring patient safety - Discuss the Code of Practice Nurse, analyzing the ethical principles contained therein. - Know the organizational structure of the Nursing Service, the role and function of the different levels - Describe how the organization of the nursing profession, the methods of job analysis, personnel management. Frequency
In order to be able to take the exam related to the specific integrated course it is necessary to have documented the presence in the classroom of at least 67% of the hours corresponding to the credits assigned to the integrated course.
Exam mode
To pass the exam you must achieve a grade of not less than 18/30 in each module, the student must demonstrate that he has acquired sufficient knowledge of the fundamental topics, a basic knowledge of the general topics and, during the interview, to be able to expose them in a clear way and with language properties To achieve a score of 30/30 cum laude, the student must demonstrate that he has acquired excellent knowledge of all the topics covered during the course, being able to link them in a logical and consistent way.
