Course objectives
HUMAN ANATOMY II specific teaching objectives: To be able to: autoptic identification of the organs, microscopic examination and diagnosis of the structure of the organs, Clinical integration through clinical and surgery anatomy seminars.

Course program
Human Anatomy (II)
- Lymphoid organs: thymus, spleen, lymph nodes, bone marrow.
- Respiratory system: external nose, nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, larynx, trachea and bronchi. Lungs and pleura. Development of the respiratory system.
- Digestive system: oral cavity, salivary glands, pharynx, oesophagus, stomach, duodenum, small, and large intestine. Liver, gallbladder, and biliary tree. Pancreas. Peritoneum and peritoneal cavity.
- Urinary system: kidney and ureter. Bladder and urethra.
- Reproductive system: a) male: testis and spermatic tracts, seminal vesicles, prostate, bulbourethral glands. b) female: ovary, uterine tubes, uterus, vagina, perineum.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of the main cytologic and histologic characteristics of the human body; knowledge of human embryology; knowledge of the anatomy of the musculoskeletal system, of the heart and the greater vessels.

Frequency
Attendance at the lectures is mandatory
Exam mode
Ongoing examination: oral with questions about the gross anatomy of linphatic, respiratory, digestive and uro-genital systems plus practical test with histological slide identification of organs from the same systems.
Lesson mode
The lessons will be taught frontally and they will include practical activities with the available models.
