Course program
The course provides a theoretical framework of clinical psychology, presenting mental disorders in accordance with the most recent diagnostic manuals currently in use. The course also aims to present the theories found in the literature to develop a thorough understanding of the etiopathogenic hypotheses of the disorders. In addition, through an in-depth study of the main measurement tools currently in clinical practice, the course will provide an understanding of how to assess symptomatological severities found in different clinical settings. The theoretical study of disorders will be integrated with practical observation through classroom simulations and clinical case presentations to analyze the main psychopathological conditions from a phenomenological point of view. Finally, the course aims to provide methodological foundations for scientific research, enabling the development of critical thinking about the interpretation of the results of scientific work.
