Course program
General goals To provide students with knowledge and understanding of the role and impact of digital technologies on economic, social and environmental sustainability, grasping their organisational and social implications. On the one hand, information plays a key role in problem solving and decision-making processes in a competitive global scenario; on the other hand, however, the way in which this information is produced develops a competitive advantage in terms of competitiveness and competitiveness. Students will therefore be introduced to the issues of complexity, the materiality of digital technology and data-driven decisions. Specific goals Knowledge and understanding: students will learn about the new relevance that digital technologies have acquired in management and their role as amplifiers or inhibitors of sustainability, as well as the methodologies for developing and using decision-making models for management; Knowledge and understanding: students will develop the ability to understand and evaluate the impact that digital technologies have on sustainability across the three dimensions of society, environment, and economy in order to support decision-making in organisations; Autonomy of judgement: development of critical thinking and judgement skills regarding the role and relevance of digital technologies in the socio-organisational sphere through participatory discussion of examples and case studies; Communication skills: students will be encouraged to interact with the teacher and their communication skills will be tested through group/individual work; Learning skills: development of the ability to learn through individual study and to continue studying independently at the end of the course through the acquisition of a systemic approach to the discipline.
