Course objectives
At the end of the course, the student should be able to: recognize the neoplastc patient as a complex one, owing to its metabolic, infectious, haematologic, neurological and cardiovascular complications; Integrate his own knowledge with those of other specialists, in order to have not a sectorial but a full view of the patient. At the end of the course the student has to: know the staging and risk stratification systems for prediction of persistent/recurrent disease and mortality in endocrine neoplasms; the usefulness of genetic testing in oncology; the tools to assess the efficacy and safety of the anti-tumor drugs; the protocols for the management of the anti-tumorl drugs adverse events; be able to apply in the clinical practice information deriving from genetic test; to read critically and use the results of the oncology clinical studies be able to tailor the diagnostic and therapeutic strategies based on the risk stratification of the cancer patient
