Course objectives
Knowledge of the structural organization of the human body with its main anatomo-clinical applications at the macroscopic, microscopic, ultrastructural level, connecting the structural organisation and corresponding functions in a medical profession perspective.

CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM: Heart: position, relationships, external and internal configuration, cardiac skeleton, conduction tissue. Heart valves. Origin and course of the coronary arteries. Veins of the heart. Pericardium. Pulmonary artery trunk and its branches. Aorta and its segments. Branches of the aorta. Venous system: vena cavae, azygos veins, portal vein. Structure of arteries, veins, lymphatic vessels
LYMPHATIC SYSTEM: Lymphatic circulation: formation of lymph Macro and microscopic structure of: Primary lymphoid organs: Bone marrow, Thymus; Secondary lymphoid organs: Spleen, Pharyngeal lymphoid ring, Lymph nodes
RESPIRATORY SYSTEM: Nose: nasal cavities, paranasal sinuses; Larynx: cartilages and laryngeal joints; Vocal cords, phonation mechanism; Trachea; Bronchi: Shape, position, relationships, internal conformation, structure, arterial, venous and lymphatic vascularisation, innervation of: larynx, trachea and bronchi. Lungs: shape, position, relationships, pulmonary zones, thoracopulmonary topography, internal conformation, structure. Pleura: pleural sinuses.
DIGESTIVE SYSTEM: Anatomy of the lips, cheeks and oral cavity; Major salivary glands: parotid, sublingual and submandibular glands; Teeth; Tongue; Isthmus of the fauces; shape, position, relationships, internal conformation, structure, arterial, venous and lymphatic vascularisation, innervation of: pharynx; oesophagus;Stomach; Small intestine; Large intestine; Liver; Gallbladder; Pancreas. Peritoneum: mesentery, mesocolon, lesser omentum, greater omentum, peritoneal insertions of the liver; Peritoneal recesses, fossae and folds
URINARY SYSTEM: Kidneys: shape, position, relationships, internal conformation, structure. Urinary tract: renal calyces and pelvis, ureters, bladder, male and female urethra.
REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM: Female reproductive system: General information. Shape, position, relationships, internal conformation, structure, arterial, venous and lymphatic vascularisation, innervation of: ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, vagina and vulva. Ovarian cycle. Menstrual cycle. Male reproductive system: General information. Shape, position, relationships, internal conformation, structure, arterial, venous and lymphatic vascularisation, innervation of: testicles, epididymides, vas deferens, ejaculatory ducts, seminal vesicles, prostate. The penis.
