Course objectives

By the end of the course the student must:-know how to critically evaluate and correlate clinical signs, physical signs and functional alterations with the pathogenetic causes of the principal digestive and endocrine-metaboic diseases.-Be ableto take a case history and carry out an objective examination related to digestive and endocrine-metabolic pathologies.-Be awareof the epidemiological and socio-economic importance of the main digestive and endocrine-metabolic diseases. Course program
Integrated Methodology II joins the lessons of gastroenterology and endocrinology and metabolism with the specific purpose of introducing students to diagnostic methodology and clinical reasoning. During the course, paradigmatic clinical cases will be addressed and discussed as examples to introduce the methodology of clinical reasoning and diagnostics in general. The lectures will be accompanied by professionalizing activities for small groups carried out both in the ward and in the outpatient clinic during which students will be able to come into contact with patients suffering from pathologies in the study. Some professionalizing activities of Pato III on diagnostic methods and of Methodology on evidence-based medicine and clinical studies will be carried out in the classroom.
