Course program
Integrative Pathology III joins the lessons of gastroenterology and endocrinology and metabolism with the specific aim of introducing students to the physiopathology and clinic of metabolic diseases and to clinical-diagnostic reasoning. During the course, pathologies with a higher prevalence and incidence and also those with a lower prevalence and incidence and the diagnostic procedures to arrive at the diagnosis will be addressed and discussed.
The lectures will be accompanied by professionalizing activities for small groups carried out both in the ward and in the outpatient clinic during which students will be able to come into contact with patients suffering from pathologies in the study.
In particular, the different types of insulin analogues and their methods of insulin administration will be illustrated. Moreover, technology applied to diabetes therapy (insulin pumps) will be shown in addition to monitoring of blood sugar levels trend (blood glucose sensors).
Some professionalizing activities of Methodology (regarding) diagnostic methods and on evidence-based medicine and clinical studies will be carried out in the classroom.

Frequency
Obligation of the student to be present at the lessons and exercises with the student's signature.
Exam mode
Solution of pathophysiology questions, laboratory tests, clinical and differential diagnosis with open questions and multiple choice questions. PICO Question formulation.
To Pass the test student must obtain a note of 18/30 for each subject of the integrated teach. Student must possess a sufficient knowledge of the program.
To obtain a note of 30/30 with distinction student must possess an excellent knowledge of the whole program using a correct terminology to expose the topics.
