Course program
The program includes the study of respiratory and cutaneous allergic diseases, as well as primary immunodeficiencies. These encompass antibody deficiencies, T-cell–mediated defects, combined immunodeficiencies, and disorders related to innate immunity dysfunction.
Prerequisites
A solid knowledge of internal medicine and basic immunology is a prerequisite for attending the course, as these are essential for understanding the diseases covered and engaging effectively with the course content.
Books
The recommended reference textbook is Harrison’s Principles of Internal Medicine, 20th edition, published in 2021 by McGraw-Hill. The Italian version, Harrison – Principi di Medicina Interna, is published by Casa Editrice Ambrosiana.
Frequency
The class schedule will be determined by the Academic Director, taking into consideration classroom availability and the number of University Educational Credits (CFU) assigned to the course. The lecture timetable will be communicated to students well in advance to allow for effective planning.
Exam mode
The exam will take place in person and will be conducted orally, with the aim of assessing the student’s preparation, understanding of the topics covered, and ability to present and reason through clinical concepts.
