Specific topics in health informatics and digital health: - Principles of health informatics. - Data, information and knowledge; structuring, representation and management of data. - Basic concepts of information technology. - Structuring and organization of information. Databases and data processing. - Metainformation, big data and big data analytics, decision support systems, artificial intelligence, etc. - Classification systems, coding, nomenclatures and terminology systems (ICD, SDO, DRG, etc.). - Standards and regulations for health informatics. - Health documentation (CC, CCI, CCE, FSE) - Treatment and regulations on the protection of health data. - Digital evolution in the clinical-health sector. Scientific documentation for health sciences. - Formal and informal sources of health information. - Biomedical databases, information quality and digital libraries. - Structuring and planning of bibliographic research. - Bibliographic research on MEDLINE / PubMed. Need to inform the population about health. - Information on health promotion and disease prevention. - Information on the management of specific diseases. - Information concerning the search for health facilities and services. Communication and multimedia tools. - Accessibility and usability of a website with biomedical information. - Quality of biomedical information sites. - Quality of communication of online information services. The interaction between citizen / patient and biomedical information (web 2.0, forum, information search, app, etc.).

Interest in learning more about digital technologies and digital health applied to the healthcare context.

Handouts and study material will be communicated by the teacher during the course and made available to students on the platform www.informaticamedica.matam.it.

Attendance is not mandatory.

Oral examination on the topics covered during the course and presentation of a thematic analysis on a specific topic assigned by the teacher.

The lessons will be held in a face-to-face and interactive manner.
