Course objectives

Provide the engineer-architect the tools to design, build and maintain works, structures and infrastructures, taking due account of geotechnical problems and with knowledge that enable them to interact, with ease and competence, with specialists in the field.

Frequency
Attendance not mandatory.
Exam mode
The exam consists of a written test and an oral exam. The written test, lasting 3 hours, requires the geotechnical design of a foundation or a retaining structure. The oral exam includes: a) discussion of the written test b) review of exercises completed during the year c) two questions on the theoretical part of the syllabus.
Lesson mode
Frontal teaching and carrying out of practical exercises initiated in the classroom and completed independently by students with periodic reviews during office hours.
