Quality Assurance (QA)

Organization and responsibilities of the AQ of the CdS

Organization and Responsibilities of Cds QA
The Sapienza Quality Assurance (QA) System is described at length in the Quality Team Web Pages available at https://www.uniroma1.it/it/pagina/team-qualita.

The Web Pages describe the ten-year path developed by the University for the construction of Sapienza Quality Assurance, the organizational model adopted, the actors of QA (Quality Team, Monitoring Committees, Joint Teachers-Students Committees, Quality Committees of Courses of Study), the active Working Groups, the main activities developed, the documentation prepared for the management of Quality Assurance processes and activities in Teaching, Research and Third Mission.

The Web Pages are also the platform for communication and provision of reference data for the activities of Re-examination, the drafting of reports of the Joint Teachers-Students Committees and Monitoring Committees and for the compilation of the SUA-Didactics and SUA-Research Sheets.
Each Course of Study and each Department is then entitled to decline the Sapienza Quality Assurance Model defined in the Web Pages of the Quality Team in the Quality Assurance of the CdS/Department by borrowing and adapting it to their organizational specificities while respecting the models and procedures defined by Anvur and the Quality Team.
The CdS/Department Web Pages represent, together with the SUA-Didactics and SUA-Research Sheets, the tools for communicating how the Quality Assurance System is implemented at the CdS/Department level.

The Commission for Quality Assurance Management (CGAQ) consists of the Chairperson of the CAD, six faculty members, three student representatives, and a TAB member from the teaching secretary's office of the department to which the LSC belongs and carries out monitoring, organization and quality management operations of the course of (https://sites.google.com/uniroma1.it/ingaero/chi-siamo/organi-e-atti/com... )

The course of study, in collaboration with the University, contributes to surveying the opinion of attending students on all courses taught. An additional student opinion monitoring tool used by the CGAQ is the Teaching Observatory, a mixed group of student representatives and faculty that detects student reports of any problems in course delivery. The survey system is also complemented by activities still entrusted to the CGAQ inherent in actions aimed at quality assurance. In fact, the results of the CGAQ's surveys and analyses are used for actions to improve educational activities. Finally, the CGAQ, drawing directly from the Sapienza information system and on the basis of statistical analyses of students' careers, verifies a posteriori the effectiveness of the educational pathway, highlighting any critical issues and/or strengths.
The CGAQ interfaces with the President of the CAD for the finalization of policies on quality in particular proposals on the activation of actions for quality improvement are discussed preliminarily within the CAD Council to be then brought to the attention of the Council for the necessary deliberations. The CGAQ is in charge of drafting the Annual Monitoring Form and the Cyclic Review Report.
The course of study, through the Quality Assurance Management Committee (QACM), periodically monitors the corrective actions indicated in the Review Report and Annual Reports: evaluates the results of their adoption, highlighting the strengths that have emerged, any critical issues and changes deemed necessary; verifies the adequacy and effectiveness of the management of the course of study; and proposes, where necessary, corrective actions to be introduced in the next Review Report. The schedule of meetings is set downstream of the definition of the Athenaeum requirements and related deadlines and meets periodically during the year to monitor the various activities.

Consultation with representative organizations

Consultations with stakeholders
Companies have been consulted, at Faculty level, systematically since 2006 through the Memorandum of Understanding 'Diamoci Credito', now Fiji reconfirmed on 11/07/08. The areas of interest identified are: the design and evaluation of study courses to develop an offer adapted to the needs of the world of work, the integration of the competences of enterprises in the training process of degree courses, the orientation of incoming and outgoing students, the activation of research programmes of interest between Departments and large enterprises.
On 2/12/08 the steering and controlling committee met for the final examination of the 2009/10 educational offer. The company Tecnip on 05/12/2008 gave a favourable opinion on the establishment of the course.
At the final meeting of the consultation at the University level on 19 January 2009, considering the results of the telematic consultation that preceded it, the organisations intervening favourably evaluated the rationalisation of the Sapienza training offer, oriented not only towards a reduction in the number of courses, but also towards their diversification into classes that show high attractiveness and for which there is more than adequate faculty coverage.
In addition, after a detailed evaluation of the Faculties' training offerings, the organisations themselves expressed a favourable opinion on the establishment of individual courses.

Consultation with representative organizations (subsequent consultations)

Consultations with stakeholders - Further information
The consultations for the academic year 2024-2025 are presented below. It should also be noted that further consultations aimed at adapting the Degree Course to the decree defining the new degree classes have also been initiated.
Representatives of the organisations representing the world of production, services and (reference) professions were consulted during two successive meetings held on 6 May and 29 October 2024 in online mode and attended, for the Faculty, by the Dean, the coordinator and the executive manager of the FIGI Engineering Faculty & Large Enterprises Project', the Faculty's teaching manager, the Presidents of the Study Courses or their delegates.
The purpose of the meeting on May 6, 2024, was to analyze and discuss, together with representatives of the organizations representing the world of production, services and professions, the educational paths and their objectives, also with reference to the needs and evolution of the world of work. To this end, the representatives received, well in advance, the illustrative material of the Faculty's educational offerings and, at the same time, a questionnaire drawn up in order to acquire a base of information on aspects relevant to the discussion, such as the soundness of the technical preparation of students/esses, the rigor of the methodological approach, the adequacy of soft skills, the strengths and weaknesses of the preparation of our graduates. At the meeting, the FIGI coordinator outlined the highlights of the decrees on degree class reform, anticipating the need for a second meeting, to be held by November 2024, to discuss them on their merits.
The purpose of the meeting on October 29, 2024, was therefore to present in detail the degree class reform decrees through a presentation on the novelties, principles, purposes and major aspects introduced by the two decrees, as well as to illustrate the main possible repercussions for each of the courses of study offered by the Faculty as well as the reorganization activities currently underway or recently completed. During the meeting, suggestions and indications were collected from representatives of organizations representing the world of production, services and (relevant) professions, as well as interest in participating in professionalizing seminars and offering internship and apprenticeship opportunities.

The minutes of both meetings are available at the link: https://figi.ing.uniroma1.it/verbali-consultazioni.

AEROSPACE CAD INITIATIVES
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Consistent with its Industrial Relations Policy, the CAD established the Companies Focus Group, whose activities began in July 2016 and became the CAD Steering Committee on 20/07/2023 with the following objectives:
