The frequency in the laboratory will lead the students to achieve the following objectives : 1 ) Use of an X-ray diffractometer for the collection of spectra from samples of metal alloy . 2 ) Characterization of the metal structure of the observed samples . 3 ) Recognition of the phases present in the metal material . 4 ) Characterization of the possible states of deformation present

Course program
Structural analysis laboratory of metallic materials ECTS: 3 Target: Attendance in the laboratory will lead students to achieve the following objectives: 1) Evaluation of the chemical composition and the effects of corrosion on metallic materials through colorimetric measurements 2) Study of the capillarity of fluids 3) Experimental determination of the crystalline grain size with the methods prescribed by the regulations in force
Prerequisites
Good knowledge of the main characteristics relating to metallic materials

Frequency
Attendance in the workshops is mandatory. Should the pandemic continue, the experimental activities will be conducted by the teacher or by the staff indicated by him The activities will be performed in streaming and the data obtained will be sent via email to the students
Exam mode
Verbalization performed only after confirmation by the driving teacher
Lesson mode
Students will frequent the laboratories to perform the experiments required by the program, they will collect the data and process them using appropriate software
