Course objectives

The course aims to provide knowledge and understanding of the methodological and critical aspects, applicable to the various disciplines that characterize its interdisciplinary aspect, modulated in relation to potential job opportunities in the fashion system; it proposes perspectives on the fashion supply chain, in all its macro-sectors, in which related projects are activated; it shows the variability of fields of interest; it enables the student to master the specific topics in order to use them and apply them in all fields of fashion-system while using the correct specific language. With the acquired knowledge, the student will be able to develop autonomous ability to connect the different disciplines in the various historical epochs and cultural contexts related to fashion, as well as to create correlations between the various macro sectors of fashion.

Course program
The course focuses on the study of the lexicon related to tourism and fashion, with particular attention to new communication technologies, advertising, marketing, and administration in Spain. It offers a series of activities aimed at providing direct knowledge of the fashion industry in Spain and Latin America, as well as the corresponding specialized language. Students will work with various texts and materials in Spanish to ensure they learn the vocabulary related to the different areas connected to the activities described above. Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the Spanish language.

Teaching mode
The course includes lessons and blended-learning activities on the Moodle platform.
Frequency
Students attending at least 70% of the classes and carrying out the activities in the Moodle platform of the course are considered attending.
Exam mode
Intermediate tests (e-learning platform); written exoneration, individual and group work (oral). Written and oral exam on the bibliography texts and on the level of knowledge of the language (written practice part and oral theoretical). The assessment will consist of a written test and an oral test by the teacher. All students have the right to take the exam of the teacher, as stated in article 40 on the exams of the University Regulations. Consequently, there is no type of exclusion or non-admission based on other on-going tests, exemptions or unsuccessful not passed.
