Translation techniques
Course objectives
A) Knowledge and understanding: the student will know the different basic interpretation techniques in consecutive, negotiation, simultaneous and chuchotage modalities, both in voice and in signs B) Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: the student will be able to use the main translation and interpretation techniques, in different contexts and through different communication channels, adapting to the needs that the situation requires. C) Autonomy of judgment: thanks to the knowledge acquired, the student will be able to make well-considered and motivated decisions on which are the most appropriate translation and interpretation techniques according to the different situations in which he will find himself practicing his profession; D) Communication skills: the student will be able to explain and motivate the main aspects related to translation and interpretation techniques and will be able to argue their main implications and / or critical issues from a practical point of view; E) Learning skills: the student will learn to use the tools necessary to further study the technical aspects of translation, using audiovisual materials and video recording archives, to independently search for materials on which to practice.
