GERMAN LITERATURE I

Course objectives

A) Knowledge and understanding: The student will have to acquire general knowledge and ability to read the historical-cultural dynamics in the studies of German literature, with attention to the most recent developments in the debate and in the disciplinary bibliography. B) Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: a knowledge of the pivotal moments of German literature will make the student more aware even in the activity of mediator of general cultural phenomena of artistic production. C) Autonomy of judgment: student will be able to collect and interpret the data on which base a critically aware judgment, even in the ethical-social dimension. D) Communication skills: the student will be able to use the knowledge acquired in arguing, addressing open questions, and communicating with competence both to specialists and to an audience of people who are not experts in the subject. E) Learning skills: the student must finally be provided with the necessary skills to undertake further German literature exams.
