The course aims to provide basic information on Polish history, culture and literature, focusing on events / phenomena that have shaped Poland today. topics covered:
The concept of national culture. Norms, traditions, verbal and non-verbal languages

. Introduction to the history of Poland I
Polish and language families. Polish and Slavic languages. History, culture, language: Polish over the centuries. Relations of Polish with other languages (X - XV ff.).
Early documents and literary works in Latin
. Birth of the literary norm. Relations of Polish with other languages (XVI - XX) Consolidation processes of modern Polish.
Introduction to Polish literature: some general concepts and questions of method
Periodization of Polish literature and culture
