Teaching mode
Face-to-face lessons, with the participation of the students through readings and comments of texts proposed by the teacher, so as to enable the observation of a deeper and more personal analysis than that gained by reading the general textbooks or passively attending lessons. Some literary and critical texts will be available on Moodle platform and will be analyzed together during seminar-like lessons. Some other literary texts or combination of texts of the examined period or combination of texts (text/criticism, text/contemporary text, etc) will be specifically assigned to the students in order to be presented during class, orally, thus self-testing themselves not only with the capacity of examining literary works, but also their own attitude to publicly express the results of their work.
Frequency
Open access, without any formal inscription. Possibility of contacting the teacher for further explanations or additional bibliography, other than the general one.
Exam mode
Oral exam. The aim is to check the students' knowledge of the authors and their texts from a cultural-historic, thematic-conceptual and formal point of view. A personal analysis will be especially appreciated, together with the capability of linking different authors/periods, thus resulting in a higher note than the average. Average marks will be given to those capable of expressing the content of the general textbooks.
High marks will be given to the ones capable of a personal ability of linking different texts and authors.
Bibliography
An anthology will be inserted on Moodle platform.
