Course objectives

The course aims to provide useful tools for the study of the morphology and syntax of the English language, continuing and deepening the process already begun in the previous year, acquisition of a discrete reading and comprehension competence o written non-specialized texts; acquisition of a discrete speaking competence in everyday communication, attaining an upper-intermediate level in linguistic abilities.

Course program
This course seeks aims to increase students’ language competence as a tool of interaction among speakers and as an object of variation. Finally, it considers aspects of sociolinguistics in connection to acquisition, gender and power.
