Philosophy of language: theory history models

Course objectives

Given for granted some basic and indispensable goals (knowledge and understanding in the field of studies; ability to apply knowledge and understanding; capability of critical analysis; ability to communicate about what has been learned; skills to undertake further studies with some autonomy), the course intends to attain the following specific objectives: 1. To consolidate the possession of the basic concepts of the philosophy of language through the study of specialized texts; 2. Stimulate students' argumentative skills by studying and producing written reports about scientific experiments in which semiotic and philosophical-linguistic concepts have played an essential role.
