Media production studies and performing arts

The course aims to introduce students to the advanced study of music theatre and of its relationship with culture and society through the analysis of its stagings and its media dissemination. Specific attention is devoted to the study of the media of music theatre, and the technologies employed for documenting, transmitting, hearing and seeing opera, especially over the last few decades.

Attending lectures is not strictly compulsory but it is warmly encouraged

Written exam with a few open-ended questions that require answers in the form of short essays.
