Course objectives

The course is held in the first semester of the fourth year. At the end of the teaching program the student will be able to diagnose gastrointestinal, hepatic, pancreatic and endocrine diseases and to give therapeutic indications. FRONTAL LESSONS GASTROENTEROLOGY in the classroom on: Acute and chronic hepatitis and accumulation disease of non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFLD). Liver cirrhosis. Portal hypertension. Hepatocarcinoma and other space-occupying lesions. Liver transplantation. Biliary calcolosis. Biliary cirrhosis and sclerosing cholangitis. Acute and chronic pancreatitis. Pancreatic neoplasms Esophageal achalasia. Gastro-esophageal reflux disease. Esophageal neoplasms Gastritis. Peptic disease. Gastric neoplasms. Malabsorption and celiac disease. Irritable bowel syndrome Polyposis and colon cancer. Diverticulosis of the colon. Inflammatory bowel disease. Bowel obstruction. Infectious enteritis Non-neoplastic anorectal disorders
