IMAGING DIAGNOSTICS

Course objectives

Indications for the various diagnostic imaging procedures in radiology and nuclear medicine, with the assessment of risks, costs and benefits. Indications for the diagnostic and therapeutic use of X radiation and radioactive tracers: methodology. Interpretation of the diagnostic findings. Main rules of Health Physics and Radiation Protection according to current legislation.

The student must have completed the previous year's exams.

Teaching mode
The teacher provides frontal teaching with traditional methods, with audiovisual aids and with lesson scheduling as reported on the GOMP System. Barring organization on platforms provided by Sapienza University of Study of Roma.  
Frequency
67% attendance at class is required.
Exam mode
The exam consists of an oral exam. To pass the exam it is necessary to achieve a vote of not less than 18/30. The student must demonstrate that he has acquired sufficient knowledge of the educational objectives. To achieve a vote of 30/30 cum laude, the student must instead demonstrate that he has acquired an excellent knowledge of all the topics covered during the course, being able to connect them in a logical and coherent way.
