The course will cover the following main topics: Introduction to surgical semeiotics: principles and methodology. Surgical history: data collection and patient communication. General and systematic physical examination: techniques and interpretation. Semeiotics of the gastrointestinal system: signs and symptoms of abdominal pathologies. Use of diagnostic tools: ultrasound, radiography, CT, MRI. Discussion of clinical cases: diagnostic approach and therapeutic decisions.

Basic knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology. Skills in general objective examination techniques. Ability to analyze and interpret clinical data.

Attendance at theoretical and practical classes is mandatory. Students must attend at least 75% of the activities in order to take the final exam.
