Course program
Main Teaching Objectives: The course is organised in formal lessons and professional activity, aimed towards the student acquiring a diagnostic methodology (clinical, in the laboratory and instrumental) and subsequently to recognize therapeutic indications in nephrology. Bearing this in mind the discussion of clinical cases and video projections are fundamental in the student’spractical professional activity.
Topics of prevalent nephrological interest: primary and secondary glomerulonephritis, rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis, diabetic nephropathy, ANCA-associated vasculitis; renovascular hypertension, indication for renal biopsy, cystic renal diseases, tubulointerstitial nephritis, acute and chronic renal failure, secondary hyperparathyroidism. Electrolyte alterations, acid-base balance.
