Course program
Main teaching objectives: The course is focused on the main dermatology and plastic surgery concepts needed to be apprehended by every medical doctor. By the end of the course, the student must: ● Define terms relevant and common to the description of disorders of the skin, hair, nails and mucous membranes. ● Correlate cutaneous symptoms and signs with dermatologic diseases. ● Explain the approach to the diagnosis and evaluation of common and important cutaneous diseases. ● List and explain the typical findings, presentation, clinical course, natural history and complications of common and important cutaneous disorders. ● Describe the pathophysiology and major pathologic features as well as the epidemiology of common and important cutaneous diseases. ● Practice and demonstrate systematic skills of physical diagnosis to describe findings of patients with cutaneous disease. Requirements Good knowledge of normal human anatomy, anatomical pathology and human physiology is required. Teaching methods: Lectures and practical training.
