Degree Course in Dynamic Psychopathology and Clinical Relations in Adults and Children (LM-51)
Professional Training Activities (AFP)
Prof. Silvia Cimino
Twenty-five hours of theoretical and clinical study on the topic of adolescent psychopathology are proposed. Guided activities will be carried out involving the reading of theoretical material and in-depth study of clinical situations. Ten hours of face-to-face meetings and 15 hours of individual and group work among students are planned, starting in April 2026. During the face-to-face meetings, the theoretical topics drawn from Herbert A. Rosenfeld's book 'Communication and Interpretation' will be linked to a clinical case study.
After each face-to-face meeting, the students will share their reflections in small groups, after having read some chapters of the text individually. The activity, guided by the teacher, will allow psychodynamic theory to be applied to clinical situations, offering a context of learning in the “here and now” aimed at implementing practical work skills in the field, linked to understanding transference and countertransference, and reading the intrapsychic and interpersonal dynamics that an adolescent patient with psychopathological traits brings to psychological work.
