Instructions for completing the study plan
The study plan is the list of exams and other learning activities that the student intends to take, and is essential for viewing and booking elective or free-choice courses on Infostud.
It must be submitted online, through the "Educational Paths" interface on INFOSTUD, within the specific date ranges published below:
Dates pending publication
After logging in, click on the appropriate section and complete the study plan online by following the guided procedure.
Elective courses can be selected from all the University's degree programs (using the Advanced Search function), taking into account the following limitations and guidelines established by the University and/or the Teaching Area Council:

  • Exams must only concern three-year degree courses (first level).
  • Of the two electives, only one can be in the humanities, except for justified exceptions (e.g., my thesis is on the conservation and restoration of Mesopotamian clay tokens, so I'll include Ancient Near Eastern and Sumerian History I).
  • It is questionable and difficult to accept choosing science-related courses from humanities courses (e.g., Physics Applied to Cultural Heritage or Materials Science in Art from Archaeological Sciences).
  • It is unacceptable to choose courses outside the Faculty that replicate courses offered in the Faculty.
  • Your choice must be convincingly and comprehensively justified (justifying it as "the topic is interesting and I'd like to explore it further" is not enough). Study programs without justifications for electives will be rejected, and you will not be sent a request to provide a reason directly to the Academic Committee.
  • Please think carefully about your choices before submitting your study plan: you can only change your plan once per academic year*.
  • If you enter exams from other departments and faculties, make sure you have identified the correct course and program code offered in the current year, otherwise you will not be able to view the exam dates correctly. Also note that prerequisites may be required. In the event of issues with incorrect recordings or missing exam dates, the DBA academic office cannot intervene, and you will need to contact the academic offices of the degree programs offering the course.
  • Always check the semester in which the course is offered on the Degree Program pages of the Study Catalog (for the relevant academic year).
  • The 24 CFU path is independent from the degree program: therefore, courses in area A (Pedagogy, Special Education and Inclusion Teaching) and area B (Psychology) are not admissible, those in area C (Anthropology) fall within the humanities as described in the previous points and those in area D (Teaching Methodologies and Technologies) are assessed for consistency with the training plan.

*You can request cancellation of your training program only on specific dates by submitting a formal, reasoned request to Professor Siani: annamaria.siani@uniroma1.it, copying didattica.dba@uniroma1.it.
Acceptance of your request will be subject to the decision of the Teaching Committee.
*If your training program is rejected, you can submit a new one within the same submission window.
After completing the form, the system will indicate whether your training program is correct. If not, you can use the "ABC" function (top left) and the system will indicate any inconsistencies it has found.
When your training program is correct, you can click "Save as draft" or, if you are sure of your choices, you can submit it for validation.
Attention! The completed training program must be saved and submitted to the platform.
After submitting, you must wait for approval to register for exam sessions for the optional and/or elective courses indicated.
However, it takes 24/48 hours after approval for the IT platforms to align and allow the exam sessions of the entered courses to be displayed on Infostud.
