Language Certification - Recognition of English Proficiency
Anyone with a language certification of at least B1 level issued by an accredited certification body (https://piattaformaenticert.pubblica.istruzione.it/pocl-piattaforma-enti...) at least B1 or TRINITY Grade 6 (or higher) and dated no more than three years prior to the request may be eligible for recognition of English proficiency (3 credits). For information, please contact the recording instructor, Prof. Favero, at gabriele.favero@uniroma1.it
Apprenticeship
Internship credits can be combined with the thesis, or they can be completed separately.
If the laboratory/department/institution where the experimental activities for the internship are carried out is external to Sapienza, you must activate the TSP Sapienza procedure https://smfn.web.uniroma1.it/it/tirocini. In this case, you must send a copy of the project approved on TSP Sapienza to didattica.dba@uniroma1.it.
Registration of internship training activities (approximately 30 days before the graduation session)
Internship credits are registered through specific exam sessions on Infostud, opened by Professor Gabriele Favero. To register, you must register according to the normal exam procedures. During the exam session, you will be asked to briefly illustrate the content of the internship, optionally with the support of a couple of slides. There will be no evaluation, only the registration. The time allotted is 5-10 minutes for each candidate.
If you are behind schedule and cannot view the exam session, you must still submit the completed internship form (as per the instructions above) and attend the interview on the exam day. However, since you cannot formally book on Infostud, you must send a booking email to the academic secretariat (didattica.dba@uniroma1.it). Credits will be recorded according to internal procedures.
Language certification - recognition of English proficiency: see the section Other training activities awarding credits.
Graduate
The final exam consists of a dissertation defense, a written document written in Italian, presenting the results of a study conducted under the guidance of a supervisor on an applied problem.
The student learns to conduct bibliographic research, perform preliminary data analysis, and present the rationale and results of their studies in writing and orally to a specialized audience.

At the beginning of the thesis activity, and in any case no less than 60 days before the session, students must email the duly completed thesis assignment application (see forms) to the Academic Secretariat (didattica.dba@uniroma1.it).
Important: If the laboratory/department/institution where the experimental activities for the thesis are being conducted is outside Sapienza, a copy of the approved project must be submitted on TSP Sapienza, along with the thesis assignment form.
2. Procedures: Student Office of the Faculty of Sciences
The degree application must be submitted on INFOSTUD at least two months before the graduation session using the dedicated online procedure.
In the "Graduand Reminder" published on the university website, you will find:
- the requirements for submitting the degree application
- the methods for submitting the degree application
- the deadlines and graduation sessions
On the "Graduating" page on the university website, you will find information on:

Academic Secretariat Procedures
3. Internship Training Activities and Recording
The graduating student must submit the internship certification form, signed by the supervisor, to didattica.dba@uniroma1.it no later than 60 days before the graduation session. Please note that the internship credits (each credit corresponds to 25 hours) can be combined with the thesis or completed separately. (see forms)*
If you are enrolled in the 2019-2020 academic year, your internship credits will be recorded through specific exam sessions on Infostud, opened by Professor Gabriele Favero (approximately 30 days before the graduation session). To record your internship credits, you must register according to the normal exam procedures. During the exam session, you will be asked to briefly explain the content of your internship before recording your exams.
If you are behind schedule and cannot view the exam session, you must still submit the completed internship form (as per the instructions above) and attend the interview on the day of the exam. However, since you are unable to formally register on Infostud, you will need to send a booking email to the Academic Secretariat (didattica.dba@uniroma1.it). Your credits will be recorded according to internal procedures.
For internships activated with TSP Sapienza, in addition to the above documentation, the signed final report released by the platform at the end of the internship must be submitted.
Those who do not submit the thesis assignment form and the credit certification form in due time will not be able to register their internship credits and will not be able to graduate in the chosen session.
4. Abstract Submission (20 days before the graduation session)
You must send the title and summary in English to didattica.dba@uniroma1.it (see forms)*
5. Final Thesis Submission (7 days before the graduation session)
For bachelor's degrees, the thesis does not need to be uploaded to Infostud; however, you must send a copy of the final thesis in PDF format, signed by the candidate and the supervisor(s), to didattica.dba@uniroma1.it.
A printout is not required, but you must bring a hard copy (for viewing only; it will be returned to you) on the day of the graduation session.
Please note that the information on the Infostud graduation application must match the title page of the thesis. If there is a discrepancy between the title, supervisor, co-supervisor, and any additional external supervisors, the Student Administration Office and the Academic Secretariat are not required to make the change in a timely manner. In this case, the graduate's participation in the graduation session CANNOT be guaranteed.
NB: There is no confirmation of receipt of submitted forms and documents. If there are any problems, the Academic Secretariat will contact you directly. However, you can always request a confirmation of receipt of the email sent.

Job Orientation
Sapienza's Career Service supports students and graduates during the delicate transition from university to the world of work, providing a variety of services, including:
- assistance and information on services provided;
- individual career counseling;
- CV review;
- training catalog for career guidance and employability development;
- partnership agreements with companies for placement and career guidance initiatives;
- confidential selections;
- organization of recruiting and orientation events;
- organization of Career Days.
Career guidance takes the form of specific activities organized by the Career Service and/or by faculties and other university departments, or in collaboration with companies, external public or private organizations, and trade associations.
Career guidance activities may consist of seminars, workshops, and themed events on career guidance, transferable skills, and career management skills (e.g., soft skills, CV writing, active job search strategies, video CVs, social networks, Employability Lab, etc.).
To facilitate contact with companies and organizations, we organize Recruiting Days, Career Days, Testimonial Days, company presentations, company visits, assessments, business games, mentoring programs, or other placement-related initiatives, including those with alumni and company mentorships. These events can be held both online and in person and are aimed at identifying the most suitable candidates for the professional opportunities offered by companies.
Seminars, workshops, and thematic events dedicated to placement (e.g., innovation, start-ups, business incubation, career focus, Innovation Camp, etc.) are also available to students and graduates.
Students and graduates can use the JobTeaser Sapienza online platform to:
• create and customize their CV;
• apply for job opportunities that match their profile;
• consult the list of companies and associations registered on the platform to contact them independently;
• register for recruiting events, company presentations, and scheduled Career Days.
Every year, the Career Service organizes the University Career Day, dedicated to students and graduates from all eleven Sapienza Faculties, as well as various Career Days by subject area or Faculty, such as: Career Day for Humanities and Social Sciences; Career Day for Economics and Law; and Career Day for STEM.
Services, the calendar of events, and opportunities for students and graduates are published on the University website at the following page: https://www.uniroma1.it/it/pagina/career-service-studenti-e-laureati
The Career Service manages its social media channels (Facebook, X, and LinkedIn) where it promotes services, calls for applications, competitions, and other opportunities for students and graduates.
