Course objectives

The general objective of this course is for the student to acquire knowledge and skills useful for designing in a museum context, analyzing trends at a national and international level. The student's critical and creative thinking skills will be enhanced by exposure to the processes of cataloging, digitalization, and multimedia communication. The student will subsequently be capable of enhancing the cultural heritage and successfully implementing these elements into the museum. Exam mode
Final examination with oral interview and presentation of a project In order to pass the examination, a mark of not less than 18/30 must be obtained. The student must demonstrate that he or she has acquired sufficient knowledge of the general aspects of museology, in particular with regard to the cataloguing and documentation of collections; and that he or she has acquired the skills of scientific communication and dissemination in the field of cultural heritage. In order to obtain a score of 30/30 cum laude, students must demonstrate that they have acquired an excellent knowledge of all the topics dealt with during the course, being able to link them in a logical and coherent way.
