International Relations and Supranational Institutions

The course focuses on the history and impacts of migration and displacement of people as a mass phenomenon in Early Modern world. Free and coerced migration (exiles, expulsions and religious refugees) will be analyzed as group and single stories. Nevertheless, different patterns of migration such as the slave trade will be examined. Special attention will be paid to the lexicon, the geography and individual stories.
