Course program
Concepts of space, territory, environment, scale, place. Critical Geographical Areas. Desertification processes and geopolitical fallout. Arctic and Antarctic, between Geopolitics, climate change, resources, and International Law. The Sea as a geopolitical junction between environment and resources. Renewable and non-renewable natural resources. Renewable, non-renewable energy and new geopolitical-economic hierarchies. Energy infrastructure and geopolitical role. Geopolitics of the energy transition. Water resources and the control of water. Green resources: land as a primary resource for humanity. Exploitation of fertile land as a geopolitical action. Relationship between industrial development and land impact. Environmental relapse of geopolitical resource choices.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of the basics of geography, as well as the latest updates on international issues of geopolitical significance, is essential. In this regard, it is highly recommended that One prepares themselves for the exam by making use of not only an up-to-date geographic atlas but also specialized journals or consulting authoritative websites on geopolitical and security issues.

Exam mode
Partial exemptions mode THREE written tests are scheduled during the course with questions on topics developed during the course. The questions may be closed (multiple-choice) or open (development of one or more themes). The objective is to verify the ongoing knowledge acquired by facilitating the student in the path of exam preparation. The final grade will be given by the average of the 3 tests. In case one does not accept the grade the exam must be taken again on the whole program. Single final exam mode The single final exam consists of a 20-30 minute oral interview on the main topics of the course.
