The main aim of the course is to overwiev the causes and consequences of population change in historical and comparative perspective and to gain an understanding of their interrelation with the main underlying economic and social dynamics.

With sociological, economic, health, and political perspectives integrated throughout, readers will gain an understanding of the patterns and causes of population change historically and in the contemporary world.
Exam mode
Students will be assessed on the basis of in progress written tests and an oral presentation.
