Caterina Grano, Ph.D. Since 2015 is Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology (M-PSI/08).
Department of Psychology, Sapienza University of Rome, Italy.
caterina.grano@uniroma1.it

Her main research interests are related to health psychology, prevention of depression and promotion of well-being and quality of life in the puerperium and in rare and chronic diseases. She is particularly interested in the personal, social and environmental factors impacting on well-being, quality of life and mental health.

CLINICAL ACTIVITY

Since 2024 coordinates the Consulting Services on Clinical Psychology (SPCC). Department of Psychology. Sapienza university.
Since 2008 is counselor and psychotherapist at the clinical service of the Dep. of Psychology where she sees patients with mood/anxiety/personality disorders.
From 2019 to date, coordinate groups with pregnant women to test the Effectiveness of Emotion and autonomous Regulation Interventions for preventing Partum Depression and promoting breastfeeding.
From 2023 to date, conducts group sessions with women with endometriosis to test the effectiveness of emotion and autonomic regulation interventions for preventing chronic pain and mood disorders.
She has conducted trainings in Motivational Interviewing and communication skills for medical staff, projects in schools aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles (physical activity, healthy eating), and preventing HIV.
