April2023-today: Associate Professor in the Physics Department of Sapienza University of Rome (Italy). Head of the Nano-spectroscopy group.

June 2021-March2023: Tenure-track Professor (RTD B) in the Physics Department of Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), under the Rita Levi Montalcini grant. Head of a new group (with a new lab under construction). ERC starting grant awarded on the project NANOWHYR.
Habilitation as Associate Professor (in 02/B1) since 31-05-2021.

February 2019 – June 2021: Research scientist in the Physics Department of the University of Basel (Switzerland).
Leader of an independent team owing to the Ambizione grant.

August 2015 – January 2019: Post-doc researcher in the University of Basel in the “Nanophononics” group of Prof. I. Zardo.
November 2014 – June 2015: Post-doc researcher in Sapienza University in the group “Optical Spectroscopy of Nanostructured Materials Lab” hired under a EU Marie Curie-Intra European Fellowship (Project: SITELiTE).

EDUCATION

2014: “Piero Brovetto” prize (by the Italian Society of Physics) for the outstanding research on the magneto-optical properties of nanostructures.

EXPERIMENTAL SKILLS
• Photoluminescence spectroscopy and absorption, also time-resolved, under intense magnetic fields, under near-field illumination, and in regime of single-photon emission.
• Raman spectroscopy, also time-resolved and coherent Anti-Stokes Raman.
• Nanoscale thermal transport and thermoelectric investigation (with Raman thermometry and with electrical methods).
• Investigated materials: nanowires, quantum dots, quantum wells, epilayers, thin films, graphene, graphene nanoribbons, transition metal dichalcogenides, charge density waves materials.
