Graduation

Characteristics of the final exam.
The final exam consists of preparing a written thesis concerning a topic or laboratory activity coherent with the students’ study plan. The exam, which is the natural conclusion of students’ learning process, includes the students’ presentation of their work to a panel of academic staff members.

The final score is calculated as follows:
- basic score: weighted average of the marks of the proficiency examinations
- increase: 0-6 points per final examination; 3 points for those graduating during the course; 1-2 points for Erasmus (1 point for 6 months of mobility, 2 for 1 year of mobility); 1 point for 3 "lode" obtained at the proficiency examinations (max 2 points). The maximum increase is 10 points.

The final exam will be held in the periods indicated in the graduation calendar (see Downloads). The exact date of the session will be communicated by email to the student's Sapienza institutional address, a few weeks before the session itself.
