All the informations to start the internship are report at: https://corsidilaurea.uniroma1.it/it/node/2421951 It is an opportunity for the student to receive experience in applying theories learned in the classroom to specific experiences in the community and work world. The internship, at least one month (150 h), could be carried out in a pharmaceutical company or supplement supplier, pharmacy, herbalist’s shop, i, a research laboratory of university teacher or alternately writing a report concerning the principal topics in the sector, according to a program agreed between student and tutor.

The internship must be carried out by the student during the third year of the degree course and is subject to passing at least two of the following exams required for the curricula: Curriculum SCIENZE ERBORISTICHE: Patologia generale, Farmacologia, Chimica fitoterapeutica. Curriculum INFORMAZIONE SCIENTIFICA SUL FARMACO: Patologia generale, Farmacologia, Marketing e tecniche di accesso al mercato farmaceutico. To carry out the internship, the student must complete an authorization. The application for the beginning of the internship, addressed to the President of the CCS in SFA (Class L-29 and Class 24), completed and signed by a member of Internship Commission must be conserved by the student. The internship application must indicate the type of internship. If at an external structure, the site where it will be held and the names of the tutors (contact person and internal tutor). Alternatively, it must indicate the teacher with whom you intend to carry out the report in place of the internship. Once authorization has been obtained from the Internship Commission, third year students who intend to do the internship at facilities outside Sapienza must follow an activation procedure through the SOUL management system. In this case it is important to check that the chosen organization or company has an agreement with La Sapienza, by consulting the list available on the SOUL website.

The tutor will recommend to the student scientific articles or web-sites in which to find useful documentation.

The student can opt for two different ways to achieve the internship: A) in private or public companies, for a total period of at least 1 month (150 h). The student will be referred to a tutor (teacher of the degree course) and to a supervisor of the structure that will host it. B) preparing a report (named “tesi in sostituzione del tirocinio“), for a total period of at least 1 month. The student will be referred to a tutor (teacher of the degree course). The student agrees with the tutor the practical ways of carrying out the internship, taking into account the program. The tutor verifies that the internship is carried out appropriately. The trainee has to communicate any absence to the tutor and the external supervisor in order to recover the missing hours.
