Course objectives
Main goal of this course is the scientifical training of the students of contemporary history. What should be obtained is the critical consciousnes of the deep roots of the political, cultural, social and economic phenomena of our times.

Course program
The introduction to the module is dedicated to historical methodology and the periodization of contemporary history. Subsequently, the main themes and problems of the history of the twentieth century are illustrated from the point of view of the international reality and from the point of view of the history of Italy.

The exam texts are the same for attending and non-attending students.
Frequency
Attendance at classes is not mandatory.
Exam mode
The knowledge assessment methods will be carried out through a final written test consisting of 60 closed-ended questions in 90 minutes.
Lesson mode
The module will be taught with frontal lessons also using slides and vintage films to contribute to the achievement of the training objectives.
