Course objectives

The course aims to provide knowledge and understanding of the methodological, critical and applicable aspects of the Discipline; it proposes geographical areas and sectorial perspectives in which related projects are activated; it shows the variability of fields of interest; it enables the student to master the specific topics in order to use them and apply them in other fields of study while using the correct specific language. With the acquired knowledge the student will be able to develop autonomous ability of connections with other disciplines in the various historical epochs and cultural contexts.

Basic knowledge of the main European historiographical schools of the 20th century

Frequency
Class attendance is highly recommended
Exam mode
Evaluation methods: oral examination with a mark in thirtieths (from 18 to 30), and possible cum laude. During the exam, the student's knowledge and ability to interpret will be verified, starting from the specific training objectives established in terms of expected learning outcomes. Attribution of the final grade: the threshold for passing the exam is set at 18/30. Votes of less than 18 will be equivalent to an insufficient assessment of learning. The evaluation criteria are progressive and functional to the different achievement of knowledge and skills set by the teaching and are defined as follows: SUFFICIENT: 18-21; GOOD: 22-25; VERY GOOD: 26-29; EXCELLENT: 30-30 CUM LAUDE.
Lesson mode
Lectures will be accompanied by dialogue with students on parts of the texts scheduled for the exam.
