Program - Frequency - Exams

Course program
The course aims to provide knowledge and understanding of the methodological, critical and applicable aspects of the Discipline; it proposes geographical areas and sectorial perspectives in which related projects are activated; it shows the variability of fields of interest; it enables the student to master the specific topics in order to use them and apply them in other fields of study while using the correct specific language. With the acquired knowledge the student will be able to develop autonomous ability of connections with other disciplines in the various historical epochs and cultural contexts.
Prerequisites
Base knowledge as from appropriate 3-year degree.
Books
Taken for granted the knowledge of a general textbook of Contemporary History, during the course it will be provided a Bibliography from which students will choose exam texts.
Frequency
Attendance is not mandatory but strongly recommended, in order to allow continuous interaction and discussion on the topics covered within the lessons.
Exam mode
Oral discussion aimed to assess knowledge acquired on the basis of reference bibliography e, for students who attended, of the topics treated in the lessons.
Lesson mode
Lectures aim to promote, starting from the course programme, discussion among students. As compatible with the course schedule, we could hold, within the lectures, seminars focusing on individual research paths. A visit to a place of interest may be included in the program.
