CHINESE LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE A
Course objectives
The course aims at enhancing the reading comprehension and the ability in Italian-Chinese translation and vice versa. The final aim of the MA course of Chinese is to allow the student to reach the Official Chinese Certification Test HSK 5 or 6 (the last), compatible with Level C1 or C2 of the Common European Framework.

Course program
For the first year: Reading and translation of Chinese literary texts for lectures by the lecturer. Lessons 11-20 of the text F. Masini, Zhang T., Sun P., P. De Troia, Liang D., Il cinese per gli italiani, corso avanzato, Hoepli, Milano 200 by the lecturer.
For the second year: Reading and translation from Chinese into Italian of Chinese non-fiction texts, for the lecturer's lessons.The lecturer will instead work with the students on translation exercises from Italian into Chinese, with oral presentations by the students.
Prerequisites
Having already taken at least 36cfu of Chinese language courses, equal at least to HSK 3 or better HSK4 levels.

Frequency
The students are strongly suggested to regularly attend classes.
Exam mode
At the end of the second semester will take place a self-assessment test, which should be not considered as a formal examination. The final exam will be composed of a written examination (60/100) and an oral examination, including conversation in Chinese and exercises of Chinese-Italian translations
Lesson mode
Lessons by the Italian teacher (2 hours per week on two semesters) and by the mother tongue Chinese lecturer (4 hours per week on two semesters).
