Course objectives

The teaching goal of MIC 1 course is to address the students to the knowledge of cancer therapy (medical, radiation therapy and surgery) and to the multidisciplinary treatment of the main solid tumors in the neoadjuvant, adjuvant and metastatic setting.

Course program
Principles of radiotherapy; management of RT-related acute and late toxicity; RT in gastrointestinal tumors (oesophagus, stomach, rectum, anal canal), lung cancers, gynecological tumors (cervix, uterus, ovary), breast cancer, prostate and bladder tumors and metastatic disease.
Prerequisites
Basic principles of genetics, molecular biology, physics, chemistry and physiology.
