- For a total of 42 credits, 1,050 hours must be submitted on TSP Sapienza.
- The thesis proposal must consist of 1 or 2 pages and include:
- An introduction presenting the student's knowledge of the chosen topic based on up-to-date bibliographical sources, highlighting the ecobiological rationale for the study;
- A rationale highlighting any gaps in knowledge on the topic and, following a logical thread, leading to the formulation of the project's hypotheses;
- Objectives;
- Study design;
- Methodology;
- Expected results.
- The proposal must not include a reference to the start date of the internship. For internal internships, the internship will begin upon approval of the proposal, or according to the instructions of the internship office for external internships.

3. Degree Application and Submission of the Internship Certification Form (3 CFU) (60 days before the graduation session)
No later than 60 days before the graduation session (and in any case at least 6 months after the start of the thesis internship), the candidate must:
· Submit the degree application on Infostud
· Send the internship certification form signed by the supervisor to didattica.dba@uniroma1.it. For TSP Sapienza internships, also submit the final report issued by the platform.
Foreign Thesis: If you are completing part of your thesis abroad, you must notify the Academic Secretariat and remind your Sapienza supervisor that when accepting your thesis on Infostud, you must select the option "The thesis was completed at another institution/university" and indicate the location.
4. Internship Recording (3 CFU) (30 days before the graduation session)
Starting in the 2019-2020 academic year, internship credits (3 CFU) will be recorded through specific exams on Infostud, opened by Professor Porretta with the code AAF1041.
Recording will take place after the certification form and the completed internship have been verified, and have already been sent to the Academic Secretariat (see point 3).
Attention: you must register for the exam!
If you enroll before the academic year 2019-2020 or if you have trouble viewing the exam, you will still need to download the internship form, fill it out carefully, and send it, signed by your supervisor, to the academic secretariat and to Professor Porretta.
Anyone who has not submitted the thesis assignment form (item 1) and the 3-credit credit certification form (item 3) will NOT be able to register the 3 CFU of the internship and will not be able to graduate.
5. Abstract Submission (20 days before the graduation session)

Path of excellence
Description and Selection Procedure
The Excellence Program is a supplementary program consisting of additional learning activities to those of the Ecobiology program. It can be taken starting in the second year and includes a minimum of 100 and a maximum of 200 hours of activities, agreed upon with a selected tutor and approved by the Degree Program.
The activities may be dedicated to personal in-depth study of one or more topics within the active courses, under the guidance of the program instructor, with the preparation of a report on this in-depth study.
The Excellence Program may also include participation in seminars taught by faculty members from the Faculty and any other qualified national or international institution, as well as a period of study or internship at another Italian or foreign university, institution, or higher education or research organization, according to the guidelines set by the Master's Degree Program.
Upon graduation, when you have completed an excellence program, after approval of the report on your activities by the Degree Program, you will receive a certificate of completion, which will be recorded in your academic record. Along with this certification, the University will award you a prize equal to the amount of tuition paid in the final year of your course.
To access the excellence program, you must meet certain requirements listed in the specific announcement, published annually on the dedicated page: https://web.uniroma1.it/trasparenza/albo-pretorio
N.B. The certificate will be awarded upon graduation.
