Course program
Biopharmaceutics, therapeutic effect and bioavailability, routes of administration, absorption, distribution and elimination of drugs, absorption mechanisms, plasma concentration profiles, pharmacokinetic parameters and their determination. Dosage forms (conventional and innovative), pharmaceutical-grade water, stability of biopharmaceutical products and related formulation aspects, oral preparations, parenteral preparations, inhalation preparations, materials used in the pharmaceutical industry, preparation of liquid dosage forms, dispersed systems (emulsions and suspensions), emulsifying agents, zeta potential, stability of dispersed systems, partitioning of liquid dosage forms, spray-drying, lyophilization, sterilization, environments for the production of sterile dosage forms, apyrogenicity, iso-osmolarity and isotonicity, rheological characteristics of pharmaceutical preparations, interfacial phenomena.
