Course objectives

The course provides an overview of promotion for film, television, and live entertainment, analyzing the main operational tools through the lens of production studies, focusing on industrial, economic, strategic, and design processes. Entertainment marketing will be examined in relation to advertising design within the framework of media technological and cultural convergence. Traditional forms, from trailers to posters, will be explored alongside current opportunities, from algorithmic analysis to transmedia storytelling, addressing key themes such as socialization, ubiquity, and localization, with particular attention to Italian challenges and transnational strategies.
