Course objectives

General learning objectives At the end of the course, the student should: - Know the main legislative regulations governing the health organisation and the fundamentals of bioethical reflection in the context of currently debated issues. - Know how to carry out the main medico-legal procedures. - Be aware of deontological and legal obligations in medical practice and within the national system of social security system. To be able to analyse a clinical case and to assess the professional behaviour to be adopted in critical situations according to legal and deontological principles. - Knowing how to be a doctor who, with respect for the dignity of the person, acts to protect the health and good of the patient and the community, using the available resources according to the law in the interest of the patient and his decision-making autonomy.
